306 places, services and resources across Hamilton — cafés, parks and waterfalls, libraries, recreation centres, groceries, transit, health and schools, employment help, settlement services and community supports. Every record has a short original description, a link to its official source, and the date it was last checked.

How a record is made

1. A place or service is found through an official, first-party or accountable source — a city page, a public institution, or the organisation's own website.
2. A plain description is written from scratch. Nothing is copied from marketing copy, and nothing is generated automatically.
3. Only stable facts are recorded: what it is, roughly where it is, and what kind of cost applies. Hours, schedules, prices and conditions are never copied — they stay on the official page and are linked instead.
4. Cultural, dietary, halal and accessibility claims are shown only when the place or the responsible authority states them. They are never inferred from a name, a cuisine or a review.
5. The record is dated. That date is the honest answer to "when was this last looked at".

How it is kept current
